Who it fits
Good fit for
This faucet suits buyers who want a commercial look without sacrificing functionality. The 18 3/4-inch height is ideal for those needing extra clearance for large pots. You will appreciate the 180-degree swivel if you have a deep or double-basin sink. The ceramic cartridge ensures smooth operation over time. The pull-down sprayer is convenient for rinsing vegetables or filling tall containers. If you prefer a low-maintenance finish, the spot-free stainless steel option helps keep the surface clean with minimal effort.
Who should skip it
Skip this model if you need a compact profile for a small vanity or laundry room. The 18-inch height is too tall for tight spaces. You might prefer a traditional style if you dislike the open-coil spring design. This faucet does not include a built-in water filter or touchless sensor. If you require a pot filler for your range, this is not the right choice. The single-handle operation may feel limiting if you are used to dual-handle controls for precise temperature adjustment.
Verdict: The KPF-1610SS offers a durable, high-arc design with a ceramic cartridge and wide swivel. It is a solid choice for kitchens that need extra height and easy maintenance.
Key specs for this Kraus faucet
Valve Type: Ceramic cartridge
The ceramic cartridge controls water flow with durable discs. This design resists wear and prevents leaks over time. You benefit from smooth handle operation and consistent pressure. When shopping for dishwashers, note that a reliable valve ensures the appliance runs quietly and efficiently without dripping issues during cycles.
Spout Reach: 8 5/8 in.
This reach extends the water source over the sink basin. It allows you to fill large pots and clean deep corners easily. The distance covers most standard kitchen sinks without splashing. For dishwashers, consider how far the water needs to travel to rinse dishes effectively, as this faucet offers generous coverage for manual pre-rinsing tasks.
Spout Swivel: 180°
The spout rotates a full half-circle for maximum coverage. You can direct water to any part of the sink or adjacent counter space. This flexibility simplifies rinsing multiple items or cleaning the faucet itself. Dishwasher buyers should appreciate this range, as it mirrors the need for thorough rinsing coverage before loading dirty dishes into the machine.
Faucet Type: Pull Down Sprayer
The pull-down sprayer brings the water source closer to your items. You can rinse vegetables, clean the sink basin, or fill tall containers with ease. The retractable hose keeps the workspace tidy. This feature complements dishwasher use by making manual prep and rinsing faster, reducing the load of pre-washing before you place dishes in the appliance.

Before You Buy This Faucet
You need to verify your sink hole configuration before purchasing. This model requires a single-hole installation. If your sink has multiple holes for a separate sprayer or soap dispenser, you will need additional accessories or a different faucet. Check the deck plate availability if you wish to cover unused holes. The 1.8 gpm flow rate is standard for water conservation. Ensure your plumbing lines support this pressure without excessive noise. Upkeep involves wiping the stainless steel finish with a soft cloth to maintain the spot-free coating. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the metal body. This faucet pairs well with most standard kitchen sinks. It does not directly interact with your dishwasher’s internal components. However, the pull-down sprayer makes rinsing dishes before loading easier. You can fill large pots directly at the sink. The 180-degree swivel allows you to reach all areas of the basin. This flexibility is useful if you have a double-bowl sink. The ceramic cartridge ensures smooth operation over time. You should inspect the hose for kinks during installation. Proper installation prevents leaks and ensures long-term reliability.
