Who it fits
Good fit for
You should consider this dishwasher if you live in a small apartment or condo with limited counter space. The 18-inch width fits where larger models cannot. Renters who cannot modify plumbing will appreciate the portable design and faucet adapter. Households with one to two people will find the 8-place setting capacity sufficient for daily needs. If you want the option to schedule washes later, the time delay feature adds convenience. The stainless steel tub appeals to those who prioritize long-term durability over plastic interiors.
Who should skip it
Skip this model if you frequently host large dinner parties or need to clean pots and pans for a big group. The 8-place setting capacity is limited compared to full-size dishwashers. If you require a built-in unit that integrates seamlessly with your cabinetry, the portable design may not meet your aesthetic or space requirements. Users needing more than six wash cycles might find the options limited. Those who prefer a permanent, hidden installation under the counter will likely find the visible portable unit unsuitable for their kitchen layout.
Verdict: This portable dishwasher offers a compact, durable solution for small households. Its stainless steel interior and flexible sizing make it a practical choice for renters.

Before You Buy This Portable Unit
Owning this SPT SD-9263WB requires a few practical preparations. First, ensure your kitchen faucet is compatible with the included adapter. Portable models connect directly to the sink, so you must check thread types and height clearance. The 18-inch width fits tighter spaces, but you still need room for the door to open fully and for the water hose to reach without kinking. If you need permanent installation, this is not the right choice. Check your counter height and electrical outlet location before finalizing your decision. The 8-place setting capacity works well for small households but may require multiple loads for larger families.
